These two value streams together supported a $24.2 billion contribution to U.S. the gross domestic product (GDP) in 2023.”

Biden signs a bill that could ban TikTok — after the 2024 election
Congress and President Biden rush a bill into law that would force Bytedance, Tiktok's parent company, to divest (or sell) the company within 90 days or risk being banned in the US. The bill hasn't fully banned the platform yet, but it does increase the chances of the ban occurring.
